New liquid extraction equipment enables process industries to comply with liquid content landfill regulations.

NEWS RELEASE: Solutions provided by ET2 Limited’s revolutionTM waste processing equipment not only offer unrivalled benefits to customers with costly landfill problems, but are now enabling customers to quickly comply with legislation regarding the disposal of liquid waste to landfill.

The heavily patented revolutionTM equipment minimises waste and extracts liquid simultaneously. Compaction ratios of up to 60:1 can be achieved on packaging. Typically up to 99% of liquid is extracted from packaging.

The high extraction performance is proving ideal for process industries such as Drinks (PET, HDPE, steel & aluminium cans), Dairy (tetrapacks, cardboard & polystyrene pots), Food (any products with retained liquids), Chemical (tins & drums) and Pharmaceutical (tubes, bottles, sachets, blister packs). End users in these sectors are confirming that there is no other machine that is as efficient at extracting the liquid and that can match revolutionTM in throughput performance. (For highly corrosive liquids such as bleach, a revolutionä constructed from titanium is in development).

Compacted packaging waste is sent directly to the recycler in an optimal ‘dry’ format that is devoid of liquid pockets and requires little or no subsequent treatment. Food and drink manufacturers have three options available for the treatment of the extracted liquids: discharge into container systems for recycling (typically to animal feed), hygienic re-introduction to the process line for human consumption (CIP application) or drainage directly into the customer’s effluent plant

Standard revolutionTM equipment is available in two sizes: 400 litre and 2000 litre models. The 2000 processes whole pallets of material at once and can deal with around 8 pallets of product per hour. Pallet tipper and bin lift apparatus for delivery of waste to revolutionTM equipment is available from ET2.

revolutionTM customers are now not only compliant with the new landfill legislation but are also able to meet their environmental guidelines whilst making substantial cost savings.
