Up to 100 dead in Filipino floods

An estimated 400,000 people have been left homeless, after the storms this weekend, and the death toll is expected to rise as the flooding begins to recede today (28 September).

Tropical Storm Ketsana, which local officials have said was the worst in 40 years, poured a month’s rainfall in less than 12 hours.

Towns were washed away and people had to cling to debris as they were swept into rivers and or flooded roads.
