WPL’s HiPAF installed at Anglian’s Carbrooke works

NEWS RELEASE: WPL's High Performance Aerated Filter System (HiPAF) has been installed at Norfolk's Carbrooke wastwater treatment works. Commissioned by framework contractor, Barhale Construction plc, for Anglian Water, the project forms part of Anglian Waters 101a scheme for first time mains drainage.

Catering for a population of 350, WPL’s standard HiPAF is a modular wastewater treatment system designed for below ground installation. All models within the HiPAF series share a design which features no moving parts for simplifying maintenance requirements; controls are housed in a small, accoustically insulated GRP kiosk adjacent to the unit. During operation, HiPAF’s utilise Submerged Aerated Filter technology and effluent passes through a three-stage treatment process.

Stuart Jones at Anglian Water Services commented, “We found WPL cooperative throughout the project and now in situ, the plant looks good and neither noise or smell appears to be a problem.”
