Sustainable Business Covered podcast: In the green room with Carillion's David Picton

Welcome back to the green room - edie's new interview hub for sustainability leaders, brought to you as part of the Sustainable Business Covered podcast. Up next to provide his pearls of wisdom is Carillion's chief sustainability officer David Picton.

The green room is the only place where you can hear full, uninterrupted interviews with some of the world's most renowned sustainability professionals and experts, and find out exactly what makes a modern-day green business leader.

From their views on global climate issues through to their favourite pastimes, the interviewees that enter the green room will provide you with the insight and inspiration you need to keep doing business better.

Following our first 'in the green room' episode with BT’s Gabrielle Ginér, edie moves from the telecoms industry to contruction for a chat with Carillion's Picton, who discusses his career steps to become chief sustainability officer at the Wolverhampton-based company. Picton gives some of his sustainability secrets to success, having met a number of key targets early under Carillion's Sustainability 2020 programme.

Picton also discusses the current global backdrop for corporate sustainability, and how developments surrounding the Paris Agreement and Donald Trump's US presidency are sculpting the business case for action.

The green room is brought to you as part of edie's Sustainable Business Covered podcast. You can listen to the edie podcast for free, with no fees or registration required. The podcast is ideal relevant for sustainability professionals, energy managers, resource efficiency experts and anyone who has an interest in sustainable business and climate change.
