Germans plan UK solar invasion
German solar business IBC Solar has outlined plans to storm the UK market by aiming at the domestic market.
IBC Solar’s managing director Andreas Heinrichs told edie at Ecobuild he thought the market for photovoltaics would boom in 2011.
The business is aiming to grow to take 10% of the UK domestic market this year and also believes that market will double to 200 megawatts this year.
This, he says, is despite the best intentions of the Government and its Feed In Tariffs (FIT) review, in which energy minister Chris Huhne said farm sized solar farm posed a threat to green building funding.

IBC solar is also aiming to meet and train locally based installers to build up a network throughout the UK.
