The reagents use internationally recognised chemistry with samples oxidised in the standard manner by refluxing the sulphuric acid and potassium dichromate. The vials are refluxed for 2 hours at +150C and the residual dichromate is measured colorimetrically using the new Hanna C99 multi-parameter meter.
