Sucess for eco-friendly Irish car wash business
Being environmentally-friendly can sometimes be profitable for businesses as one Irish firm has recently discovered.Dublin-based car wash company Eco Car Wash Ltd is franchising out its 'green' operations after it proved a major success, according to Irish Franchise Magazine.
The helps the environment by ditching the power hoses, which can utilise 150 litres of water to clear one car.
Instead, the company cleans vehicles with natural spray-on solvent to dissolve the dirt which is then removed using less than two litres of water.
Spokesman Kieran Redmond told the publication: "The service has become very popular, especially in shopping centre car parks.
"Today's car owner is proud of their car's appearance and values it as a status symbol.
"They resent waiting in car wash queues and they think having the car cleaned while they are doing their shopping is great time-saving idea."
The company has recently launched franchised outlets in Dublin and Dunlaoghaire.
