“I’m incredibly proud of this event,” said edie’s content director Luke Nicholls. “As the UK’s largest and most prestigious sustainability awards scheme, we want to recognise and celebrate the people, projects and pioneering organisations who are together transforming business, for good.

“With some exciting new categories, new judges and the introduction of some ‘premier awards’, we really can’t wait to see this year’s entries begin to pour in, and to ultimately celebrate our new Sustainability Leaders for 2020.”

Now in their 13th year, the Sustainability Leaders Awards recognise and reward changemakers within business; from the best efficiency programmes through to product innovations, from stakeholder engagement and social sustainability schemes through to the individual energy and sustainability leaders who are making change happen. The full list of last year’s Award-winners can be viewed here.

Last year’s Awards broke all records in terms of entries and on-the-night attendees. The night saw renowned sustainability leader Paul Polman take to the stage to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and deliver an insightful and inspiring speech to more than 600 business leaders and sustainability and energy professionals.
