Ovivo sponsors Sustainability Leaders Awards
The Sustainability Leaders Awards, organised by edie and Sustainable Business Magazine, is delighted to announce water treatment solutions provider Ovivo as the sponsor of its water management award for the 2012 event.
The awards, formerly the Awards for Environmental Excellence, recognise companies and organisations in both the public and private sector that are striving to, and succeeding in, embedding sustainability and CSR in their business operations.
Speaking to edie about the importance of water management, Ovivo UK general manager Angus Willis said: “Ovivo see the future looking very different. How we keep up to date with the most modern technologies and processes with sustainable practices; how we use resources; how we learn through investing in people and leading centres such as a Cranfield University, contribute to Ovivo’s own success and how we create value in water.
“To Ovivo the Sustainability Leaders Awards are all about the responsible management of resources. We recognise that as a business, we all have a part to play in making the most sustainable use of the resources we use, and for Ovivo it begins with water. Apart from water being an important element to life and our recreation it is the fundamental raw material used by many industries, whether this is for consumption, cooling, washing, conveying or reuse. How businesses efficiently manage this precious resource can therefore become an important asset to boosting profits, without having an exponential impact on our environment.”
Edie and Sustainable Business publisher Angela Himus said: “We are delighted to welcome Ovivo on board for the Sustainability Leaders Awards 2012 and I can only echo Angus’ thoughts above. Driving sustainability in business not only protects the environment and preserves precious resources, it drives innovation, operational efficiencies and ultimately, profitability. Across all sectors, in organisations of any size, the business case for sustainability is clear and the Sustainability Leaders Awards turns the spotlight on the best examples of that.”
Entry to the awards is open now and entries, consisting of 750-word case studies, must be submitted no later than June 15th. Full details are available on the website with links below.
