The Benefits of D:Max

1. More than 90% diversion of waste from landfill

The introduction of the D:Max will ensure recovery of more than 90% of materials for re-use.

All of the waste streams which can be processed through the D:Max contain a large volume of water which the D:Max can effectively remove from the waste and send back to the waste water treatment process for further processing.

The D:Max will also produce a dewatered grit product with a variety of further applications. This material can represent up to 70% of the total waste and recovery of this material alone has a huge impact on the volumes of waste to be sent to landfill.

Rag, organics and other screenings are separately classified and dewatered through the D:Max system.

2. Ensures Compliance with Landfill Directive

The pre-treatment of waste prior to disposal is a requirement of the Landfill Directive and the introduction of the DMax exceeds these requirements in terms of the level of treatment afforded to the feed material.

3. Fully mobile unit - minimises transport of waste materials

The D:Max is easily moved around a number of sites if required facilitating treatment of waste stockpiles in a variety of different locations. This minimises the transport movements required to bring the waste material to a processing site.

4. Reduced Transport Costs

The reduction in disposal charges is further enhanced by the cost savings derived from significantly reduced transport requirements as a result of having over 90% less waste material to dispose of.

5. Protection against increasing landfill costs

Introduction of the D:Max offers operators protection against increasing landfill costs both in terms of an increasing landfill tax and increasing transport costs resulting from the designation of specialist sites to receive specific types of waste material – with no guarantee that these sites will be the closest to the source of the waste material.

6. Creates a new market for classified and dewatered products

The introduction of the D:Max creates materials with further use:

LRW 299 from the Environment Agency has designated the classified and dewatered grit as a ‘Low Risk Waste’ therefore allowing its use on a number of construction projects.

Classified grit material can be sold to the agricultural market

Both of these opportunities allow operators to generate revenue from their waste material.

7. Plug & Play System

The D:Max comes equipped with its own on board generator for ease of operation.

Flexible stockpiling of dewatered grit product

The inclusion of a reversible product conveyor gives the D:Max an added degree of flexibility to cope with the individual requirements of the site it is operating on. The integrated stockpile conveyor can be deployed on either side of the D:Max.
