Aviation authority tightens aircraft emissions standards

Tighter emissions limits on new aircraft engine emissions will take effect in 185 countries by 2004, says the International Civil Aviation Organisation. Nox emissions limits are to be cut by 16%. This limit will only apply to new engines, but many manufacturers are already meeting it.
