The eighth and final episode of our new sustainable business chat show sees Interface's innovation partner Jon Khoo joined by Kingfisher's head of sustainability Caroline Laurie to discuss how sustainability can be embedded across the business, including at boardroom level.
Broadcast live from edie Live 2018 in Birmingham, the Mission Possible sofa interviews offer up an array of the energy and sustainability industry’s leading lights to delve deep into some of the hottest industry topics – from onsite solutions and low-carbon vehicles through to green policy and the circular economy.

In episode four, UK Green Building Council's (UK GBC) head of industry engagement Alastair Mant was joined by the Environmental Industries Commission's (EIC) executive director Matthew Farrow to discuss the role of collaboration, while episode five saw World Green Building Council's project manager of Advancing Net Zero Victoria Burrows joined by Canary Wharf Group's head of sustainability Martin Gettings and House of Fraser's head of sustainability Dorothy Maxwell to discuss the built environment.
Episode six saw Riversimple's Hugo Spowers and LowCVP's Jonathan Murray discuss the market signals of the low-carbon transport sector, while episode seven saw the Energy & Climate Intelligence Unit's (ECIU) director Richard Black joined by RSPB's senior climate change policy officer Melanie Coath to discuss whether legislation is enabling or hindering the uptake of renewables in the UK.
The 12-minute video sees Khoo reflect on the importance of empathy in selling a sustainability story to other parts of the business, while Laurie offers an insightful take on how aspects of environmentalism and sustainability can be “translated” to create a more holistic strategy.
