The webcast begins at 2:30pm (GMT) on Monday 20 March. The Forum will tackle a series of issues including:
- rural development
- ecology and human development
- climate variability, both natural and human induced
- disaster management and mitigation
- community participation in improving environmental performance
On Tuesday, live webcast sessions will ask how well the World Bank is progressing with its environmental policy and the impact of the strategy on regional operations.
Guests at the Environmental Forum will range from Environment Ministers from Moldova, Palestine, Columbia and representatives of environmental regulation authorities in Sri Lanka, Mexico and South Africa.
