New MD for Atkins' Water & Environment business

Atkins has appointed Neil Thomas as managing director of its Water & Environment business. He took up the position on 1 April 2011.

Atkins has appointed Neil Thomas as managing director of its Water & Environment business. He took up the position on 1 April 2011.

Neil joins Water & Environment from Atkins' Highways & Transportation business, where he was managing director for five years, playing a key role in its development and success. He initially joined Atkins in 1989.

Philip Hoare will take over as managing director of Highways & Transportation. He was previously managing director of its Highway Services division.
