A new lobby group made up of representatives from the Environment Agency, SEPA, Environmental Industries Commission, Green Alliance, Friends of the Earth, New Economics Foundation, United Utilities, English Nature, SITA UK, BT, IPPR and RSPB has been formed.
The lobby, known as the Aldersgate Group, seeks to persuade Government that environmental protection is key to the success of the British economy.
The groups first report, Green Foundations: Better Regulation and a Healthy Environment for Growth and Jobs was published on Tuesday, June 6.
